Montessori toddlers working with sensorial materials

SENSORIAL

Everything in a toddler environment is rooted in the sensorial experimentation.  everything is attractive to their senses.  seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing, touching; these experiences draw each child to try many activities.

Examples of sensorial activities are smelling cylinders, mystery bags for touching, different types of foods and textures, new and familiar sounds, like music and sound shakers, art activities that incorporate all of the senses, and sensory bins and water activities, allowing them to actively experience a variety of different feelings.
